Dar-us-Salaam’s Hajj Workshop is next Saturday, November 7th from 10am to 6pm at PGMA, taught by Br. Safi Khan. The workshop is free. For directions to PGMA, see www.pgmamd.org. The address is 9150 Lanham Severn Rd., Lanham, MD 20706.
This class covers pre-hajj preparations, what to do (and not do!) during hajj, and tips to enhance one’s hajj. To register, contact us with your name and email address, and state that you are registering for the Hajj Workshop.
We are holding an Islam 101 class at Dar-us-Salaam / Al Huda School in College Park, MD on Saturday, November 7th, 11am – 1pm. (This is a date change; previously advertised for 10/25.) Basic beliefs of Muslims and current topics will be covered, such as women in Islam, and whether violence is a part of Islam. (Short answer: no!) All are welcome.
Light refreshments served.

Join this workshop to learn about death, funeral preparations, washing the body, shrouding and burial. Hands-on practical workshop using real-size, real-weight dummies. All participants will get a chance to do a mock washing and shrouding.

An update and reminder for the Saturday morning Sincerity class.
Maryland students: Due to an unavoidable scheduling conflict, we have had to push back the start date. Insha Allah, the class will resume on Saturday, April 25th at Dar-us-Salaam, from 9:45am to 12:15pm.
Virginia students: A reminder that insha Allah, the class will resume on Saturday, April 18th at McLean High School, from 1pm to 1:45pm.
The break for our Saturday morning class on Sincerity has been extended.
Maryland students: Insha Allah, the class will resume on Saturday, April 11th at Dar-us-Salaam, from 9:45am to 12:15pm.
Virginia students: Insha Allah, the class will resume on Saturday, April 18th at McLean High School, from 1pm to 1:45pm.
Please note that for the next two weeks our Saturday morning class on Sincerity will have a short break. The class will resume on Saturday, March 28th at Dar-us-Salaam, from 9:45am to 12:15pm.
This break is for the sessions in both Maryland and Virginia.
Announcements and reminders:
1) We encourage you to join our monthly service activity and volunteer to Help the Hungry at a soup kitchen in DC! Our next volunteer date is Monday, March 16th from 3:45pm to 7pm. Volunteers meet at Al-Huda School at 3:45pm. For more info or to sign up, please contact us.
2) Tears of Hope CDs, a 4-CD set, are available now for $20 from Faith Publications. This is part 1 of last year’s class on repentance. To purchase a copy, contact Faith Publications through their website.
Copies will also be available in class when the session resumes on March 28.

Insha’Allah, “Sincerity” will start Saturday, January 17th. Please note the times and locations:
In Maryland: 9:45am to 12:15pm on Saturday mornings, at Dar-us-Salaam.
In Virginia: 1:00pm to 1:45pm Saturday afternoons, at McLean High School.
We invite all to join us as we begin our study of sincerity. This class is offered at no cost, and donations are welcomed to support our educational programs. The class is open to brothers and sisters, and is taught by Safi Khan. Maryland session held at 5301 Edgewood Road, College Park, MD 20740. Virginia session held at McLean High School, 1633 Davidson Road, McLean, VA 22101.
